visit Angkor Wat coliving workation for digital nomads remote workers
Start 2026 with a bang in Chiang Mai, the world’s digital nomad capital, and share a month to never forget with the Wonderland community!

Picture yourself working from a modern coworking space in Nimman, Chiang Mai’s most creative neighborhood. Cafés on every corner, street food stalls just steps away, and a community of curious minds around you...

When the laptops close, the real adventure begins. Evenings wandering through night markets, mornings exploring jungle trails, weekends chasing waterfalls and mountain sunsets. And always with new friends to share it all: dinners, discoveries, and deep conversations.

January is one of the best months to be here. The weather is mild, the city is buzzing, and Chiang Mai will also host the Nomad Summit, a global gathering of nomads and remote workers.

Chiang Mai Nomad Wonderland isn’t just about where you work. It’s about the people you meet, the ideas you exchange, and the memories that stay long after you’ve gone.
I'm in!
Why Chiang Mai is the perfect place
to start your year:
  • Culture, Cuisine, and Night Markets
From golden temples to colorful markets, Chiang Mai blends tradition with modern life. The food here is legendary: sizzling stir-fries, mouthwatering curries, street food skewers, and tropical fruits at every corner. Evenings are best spent wandering the night markets or enjoying a foot massage. And the people? There's a reason Thailand is called the "Land of Smiles"!
  • Nature at Your Doorstep
Beyond the city, mountains and jungles are waiting to be explored. Hike lush trails, climb sticky (!) waterfalls, visit mountain villages, or watch the sunset over Doi Suthep. The weekends might not be enough to take it all in, so let’s take full advantage of the time zone and plan some morning hikes while Europe and America are sleeping.
  • Perfect January Weather
While much of the world is cold, Chiang Mai is at its best. It is not as hot, nor as humid as it can get later in the year. The mild weather makes January the ideal time to enjoy the city and the mountains in comfort.
  • Digital Nomad Capital
Chiang Mai has long been known as the world’s digital nomad capital. With its welcoming vibe, affordable lifestyle, and creative energy, it is the place where remote workers from across the globe come together. Our Wonderland is based right in the heart of the action, in Nimmanhaemin, the most popular area among remote workers.
Join these happy Wonderlanders!

I joined Nomads in Wonderlands' Antalya chapter and was so blown away that I also signed up for Bansko and enjoyed it just as much, if not more!

I learned so much from the two events I've experienced so far, from unconferences to masterminds to learning the rules of poker and Coup! I also believe the caliber of people Nomads in Wonderlands attracts is amazing - I've made deeper connections with the attendees here than I have at longer coliving stays.

If you're into self- & professional development, true connection, discovery and endless laughs, this is for you.

I stumbled into Nomads in Wonderlands completely by chance, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my nomad life.

The experience was incredible. I could focus on work while also joining exciting and thoughtful activities. Most importantly, the people were amazing. I met such a good group of curious, friendly, driven individuals that I ended up joining the Bansko edition just 6 weeks later!

If you’re looking for a balance of productive work time, deep conversation, shared experiences, and a fun international crowd, I highly recommend it.

I had one of the best months of my life with Nomads in Wonderlands in Antalya!

The mix of activities offered catered for different preferences and every day there was a choice of something cool to do, for all types of personalities. The coworking space was gorgeous and perfect for focused work and after-work hangouts.

I attend many nomad events and can say this was great value for money. Looking forward to more of that magic in Bansko!
What makes Nomads in Wonderlands
workations different? 🪄
  • More Time, More Depth
Our workations last a full month, giving you time to really settle in, explore the destination at your own pace, and build meaningful connections with the group. Unlike short retreats, there’s no rush; you get to experience the place, the activities, and the people.
  • A Vibrant and Diverse Community
Not only do we bring together more people than at your typical workation, we also attract a wide variety of participants. Not just in nationality or profession, but also in background, lifestyle, and interests. This diversity fuels the richness of our programs and the depth of conversations and connections.
  • Many Activities, One Experience
One moment you're exchanging ideas in a roundtable, the next you're meeting a Thai monk or playing board games with new friends. From yoga sessions to sunset drinks, professional skillshares to late-night cocktails, outdoor adventures to quiet moments of self-reflection; there's something for everyone. You’ll always find people who share your interests. And above all, it allows you to try something new and unexpected!
  • Flexibility and Freedom
We offer more activities than your usual workation. But we're aware that work should come first, and that’s why our motto is: no stress. There’s zero pressure to join anything. With 50-80 activities a month on offer, you can pick and choose what fits your vibe. Join what you love, skip what you don’t: easy!
  • Stay Your Way
Joining Wonderlands means you can book your own apartment or pick our partner option right by our Wonderland hub for a community-style stay. Because being part of a community while you travel and work doesn't necessarily mean you have to live together as well. Whether you choose privacy or coliving, you’re 100% part of the experience!
You can look forward to:
Work and Productivity First
We know you're on workation, not vacation! You'll get 24/7 access to our coworking & events hub, a top-notch coworking space designed for remote workers in one of Chiang Mai's best locations.

With proper ergonomic chairs, strong WiFi, exclusive fixed desks & meeting room use, and different areas to focus, take calls, or relax, you count on us to be productive in comfortable conditions.

Plus, recharge with a break in the on-site sauna or ice bath!
Exploration and Adventures
Once you close your laptop, adventure is calling: it's time to explore the giant playground in and around the city!

Escape on an idyllic day trip to delightful Chiang Dao, cycle around temples in the charming Old Town, climb the unique sticky waterfalls, hike to the dazzling mountaintop stupas of Doi Suthep...

From soaking in serene hot springs to searching for the best khao soi in town, we're lining up our absolute favourite activities to make the most of Chiang Mai's unmissable highlights and hidden gems together!
Growth and Inspiration
Bring together a group of curious, creative minds, and the possibilities are endless. We create opportunities for growth, based on what participants want to share. That can be in unconference sessions, mastermind circles, skillshares, creative workshops, or roundtables.

In past chapters, participants have helped one another navigate personal breakthroughs and professional transitions. Projects have launched. Collaborations have formed. Lifelong lessons have been exchanged. All from a spirit of willing to help and learn.
Shared Moments, Food and Fun
In the end, it's all about spending quality time together! Our community is at the heart of everything we do. From sharing after-work drinks and Thai BBQs to deep conversations and spontaneous dance parties, this is where we create genuine connection.
Time to Relax
and Recharge
Pace yourself, your way. Whether it’s sipping your smoothie in a hammock, journaling after morning yoga, reading in a lakeside hut, or walking by the river, there’s plenty of space to unwind. With all activities optional, you’re free to follow your own rhythm. No pressure. Just flow.
True community, Real Connections
Everyone arrives together and leaves together, which makes it a shared experience. That common timeline builds trust, familiarity, and space for something truly special to unfold in-between. You might just meet a new best friend, future collaborator, or even a soulmate!

Where to Stay in Chiang Mai
One of the reasons Chiang Mai became so popular among digital nomads is that it is relatively easy to find accommodation. Fully furnished apartments are available everywhere, and renting one for a month is usually straightforward and affordable. From modern condos with pools to simple studios in local neighborhoods, there is something for every style and budget.

If you prefer peace of mind, you can also choose our partner accommodation options. No surprises with deposits, contracts, or hidden details; everything is set up for you. It is fully furnished, super close to our hub, and ready for you to move in. That way, you can simply arrive and settle straight into the Wonderland rhythm.

When you sign up, you can indicate your preferred type of accommodation. If you choose our partner option, it will be taken care of by our local partners, so everything is ready for you.

If you prefer to book your own, we recommend looking in Nimmanhaemmin, Santitham, or Jed Yod: all popular areas with plenty of monthly rentals and just a short ride from the hub.

Keep in mind that January is high season in Chiang Mai. If it is your first time here, it may be harder to find the perfect place of your choice. More seasoned nomads usually know where to look and how to secure a spot quickly.
Meet your Chiang Mai Wonderland hosts
  • Salut ! I'm Camille, an "ex-French" girl turned world explorer. In 2013, I quit my life to travel the world - and I haven’t stopped since! I've lived in the UK, South Korea, Thailand, and Colombia, and have visited 60+ countries as a location-independent freelancer and entrepreneur.

I like sleeping in hammocks, riding scooters, eating all the foods, and scaring my mother trying adventure sports! I now share this journey with Bauke, with whom I bought a home base in Bansko, Bulgaria.

After hosting successful events in Antalya and Bansko, nowhere was more obvious for our next Wonderland than Chiang Mai, a regular stop on my itinerary since 2015! I can't wait to share all the highlights of one of my favorite places on Earth with you. :)

  • Merhaba! Alex here. I'm a business coach living my passion through a coworking space for digital nomads in Antalya, Turkey.

I started my digital nomad journey years ago in Chiang Mai and have been coming back—for obvious reasons! Happy to introduce you to this fantastic city or connect to fellow veterans.

As a coach I help solopreneurs with strategy, sales and marketing. For the coworking, I'm mostly excited about deep talks and shallow parties. ;)

And since I started collaborating with Camille on Wonderland events, I've realized that what I love above all is seeing and helping people make real connections.
